bastet, or sekhmet as some may call her~ the devine mother, protectress and egyptian goodess of fertility is and will always be one of my favorite deities. she, among others are called upon during some pagan/wiccan rights such as ostara; one of the eight sabbats (holy days) of the wiccan religion.

my interpretation of her is not with a cat head but with catlike features~ especially the eyes ^-^
